Dr. Carnigee Truesdale is a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in Pediatric and Health Psychology. She received her Bachelors of Arts from the prestigious Spelman College in Atlanta, GA and continued her education by receiving a Masters of Arts and Doctorate of Clinical Psychology from Argosy University in Washington, DC. Dr. Truesdale has trained at world-renown facilities including but not limited to Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, Kennedy Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, Children’s Hospital of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospital and Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Truesdale has been practicing in the field of behavioral medicine for almost twenty years and has worked in many different settings including hospitals, clinics, community mental health agencies and schools. She is Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Her interests are primarily clinical and include pediatric psychology, women’s health, primary care, treatment adherence, consultation and liaison services, program development and chronic pain. Dr. Truesdale describes herself as an optimist and favors Gandhi’s quote: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Dr. Truesdale is from Northern Virginia and currently resides in Michigan with her two children.
